Claire Besson
Biography
Claire Besson began her musical studies in the Regional Conservatory of Perpignan, where she obtained unanimously the prizes for chamber music and guitar.
Following a year's study on the advanced course at the Conservatory of Orléans, she undertook in 2010 the "Pôle d'enseignement Supérieur Paris Boulogne" ( PSPBB) where she received a Bachelor's degree in Musicology as well as the Professional Musician's Upper National Diploma ( DNSPM) in the class of Gérard Abiton.
Driven by the taste of the transmission, she dedicates some of her time to Teaching and obtained in March 2014 a teaching degree in guitar (DE).

Keen to widen her musical horizons, Claire joined the program of acoustic guitar "Concert Music / World music / jazz " in September 2014, at the Hochschule für Musik of Dresden (Germany), with Thomas Fellow, Reentko Dirks and Stephan Bormann as teachers. She received her Master degree in june 2016.

In May 2010, Claire Besson won the First prize in the "Guitar competition of Montigny-le-Bretonneux" by unanimous decision ; in March 2012, the First prize in the "Guitar competition of Fontenay-sous-Bois", and the First prize in International Competition of Guitar "Nuits Musicales de Cieux" in July 2014 .

She regularly receives invitations to perform at many international music festivals: “Jeunes Interprètes” (Boulou, 2007), "International Guitar Festival of Saint Cyprien" (2008) ; In 2010, she plays at the International Guitar Festival of Paris (Guitares à Suivre), as well as the Festival "Guitares en Picardie" ( 2013 ), International Festival "Sul Tasto Paris Festival" (2015) and “Internationales Freepsumer Gitarrenfestival ” (2016).

She has also participated in concerts and recordings in the Galmeas orchestra and quartet of guitars "Quatuor de l'Alba", and plays regularly in several ensembles in France and abroad, such as the duet flute-guitar "Clariana", or with singer/bass of the “Compagnie Divague”.
In May 2016, the French embassy in Beijing organised 8 dates across China for her duet "Clariana".

Through numerous workshops and Masterclasses, she has been able to develop alongside famous concert performers such as Roland Dyens, Carlo Marchione, Denis Azabagic, Judicaël Perroy, Alberto Ponce, Tania Chagnot among others.
In addition, she has attended the improvisation courses given by Ibrahim Maalouf in Paris and has worked with the composer E. Pénicaud.
